Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh

Drake and Josh will be returning to your screens for a BRAND NEW Christmas movie!

Don't miss the premiere on Sunday December 21st at 10am, only on Nickelodeon!

Also, from PR Newswire-FirstCall, via Yahoo! Finance:

The big comic adventure reuniting Nick's superstar duo Drake Bell and Josh Peck unfolds as a mall Santa and his sack of toys - alias Drake and Josh - promise an adorable little girl that her foster family will have "the best Christmas ever." It's a pledge that will change their holiday and their lives - and one that's tough to keep after Drake's antics at a holiday party land responsible Josh in the slammer. Both boys are hauled into court after Drake tries to break his brother out of jail, and Judge Newman (Henry Winkler) rules that if little Mary Alice (Bailee Madison) and her family don't have the best Christmas ever, it's back behind bars for Drake and Josh. Little sis Megan's (Miranda Cosgrove) clever pranks keep a heartless parole officer at bay, but the guys bump heads and clash on the path to make good on their unbreakable promise, leaving kids to expect the unexpected - including Josh's ex-cellmate Bludge (Kimbo Slice) making an appearance as a rather unusual Santa. Bell rings in the season with rockin' renditions of Jingle Bells and The 12 Days of Christmas.

The Doctor’s Assistants fight it out
for top TV honour

It’s sonic screwdrivers at dawn for Catherine Tate and Freema Agyeman as they compete for the title of Favourite Female TV Star at the
Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards…
…and Doctor Who is nominated for a record four awards!

The nominations are in for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards UK which is back for its second year!

Forget the Daleks and the Cybermen, Doctor Who’s Catherine Tate and Freema Agyeman are about to have the biggest fight of their time travelling career to date as they take on each other for the accolade of Favourite Female TV Star at this year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards along with Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus and iCarly’s Miranda Cosgove.

The Time Lord himself, David Tennant, is also amongst the nominees as he will be battling it out with Robin Hood’s Jonas Armstrong and American stars Dylan Sprouse (Suite Life) and Josh Peck (Drake & Josh) to take home the Nickelodeon Blimp for Favourite Male TV star.

Following their latest attempt to conquer Earth, can the Daleks exterminate the competition to win Favourite Baddie? They have tough competition in the form of SpongeBob SquarePant’s arch enemy Plankton, WWE bad boy Randy Orton and TV’s original Mr. Nasty himself Simon Cowell!

Doctor Who makes it a record four nominations as it goes head to head against Cowell’s reality juggernauts The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent as well as the hugely popular Harry Hill’s TV Burp in the Favourite Family TV Show category.

This year also sees a battle of the boogie as some of the country’s top dancers compete for the title of Favourite Winner; Britain’s Got Talent’s dancing sensation George Sampson, Dancing on Ice’s Suzanne Shaw and Strictly Come Dancing’s Alesha Dixon will all be bopping for glory against singing supremo Leon Jackson from The X Factor.

Harry Hill completes a hat-trick of nominations as he battles for Favourite TV Presenter against Dermot O’Leary, Holly Willoughby and last year’s winners Ant & Dec, and for Favourite Funny Person where he faces tough competition again from Ant & Dec, Catherine Tate and pretenders to the comedy throne, Dick & Dom.

Following his outstanding win at the British Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is hoping he can race to victory and take the title of Favourite Sportsman but Liverpool and England ace Steven Gerrard, WWE star John Cena and last year’s winner, David Beckham will all be hoping Nickelodeon viewers vote for them.

Nickelodeon is the UK’s number 1 commercial kids’ TV network watched by almost 11 million viewers every month. All Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards winners are chosen by kids – the best critics of all! Kids cast their votes online at and via the red button their TV remote. Kids can enter to win tickets simply by voting. Voting commences 28 July and closes on 1 September.

Last year’s inaugural event was hugely successful with top rocker presenters McFly kicking off proceedings and a multitude of stars, including BAFTA Award winner David Walliams, Harry Potter star Emma Watson, X Factor winner Shayne Ward, dance floor booty-shakers ‘Booty Luv’ and famous faces from Drake & Josh, Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and EastEnders presenting, performing and picking up their coveted Nickelodeon Blimp awards.

TV babe and queen of presenters Holly Willoughby donned snorkel and mask to dive into the world famous Nickelodeon green slime as she was inducted into the Nickelodeon Hall of Slime. Holly is the latest in a long list of A-list slimees including Orlando Bloom, Harrison Ford, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz; but who will join the ranks of the showbiz elite by getting slimed in 2008?

This year’s event will take place at London’s Excel on Saturday 13 September in front of a specially invited audience of 2,500 kids (all competition winners) and will be broadcast a week later (20 September) exclusively on Nickelodeon with subsequent broadcasts on Nick Replay (+1 channel), MTV Hits and TMF – it is sure to be the most spectacular family television event of the year!

Kids Cast Record-breaking 88,254,272 Million Votes for Their Favorites in 18 Categories

Stars Go Green with Big Slimy Feats and Longest Slime Time Ever

Host Jack Black and Orlando Bloom Soaked in Spectacular Superstar Sliming

Harrison Ford Gets the Goo, Too!

Heidi Klum, Akon and Usher Usher in Three Interactive Slime Stunts with Host Laila Ali

Los Angeles, Calif. – March 29, 2008 – Kids thanked their stars tonight at Nickelodeon's 2008 Kids' Choice Awards, and lucky luminaries Johnny Depp, Jessica Alba, Eddie Murphy, Miley Cyrus, Drake Bell, The Jonas Brothers, Chris Brown – and more – clinched coveted orange Blimps during the live telecast, Saturday, March 29 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/tape delay PT). Hosted by Jack Black and spotlighting the hottest stars of TV, movies, music and sports, the kudo/mess-fest at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion – "where Hollywood meets the slime" – gave new meaning to "Go Green!" Not only did glorious slime showers drench gleeful kids and celebs throughout the show, for the first time three interactive celebrity slime stunts, hosted by Laila Ali and featuring Akon, Usher and Heidi Klum, wowed the crowd and led to the longest slime time in history – and the climactic superstar sliming of Orlando Bloom and host Black.

More than doubling last year's record-breaking record, 88,254,272 million kids cast votes March 3-29 in 18 categories to honor their favorites. Votes were cast via,, and for the first time via Nick's new mobile website (

Tally yielded treasured blimps for Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) and Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) as Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite Movie Actress. Alvin and the Chipmunks and Ratatouille respectively grabbed Favorite Movie and Favorite Animated Movie. Eddie Murphy clinched a Blimp as Favorite Voice in an Animated Movie (Shrek the Third). Top TV awards went to American Idol as Favorite Reality Show, to Drake & Josh as Favorite TV Show and to Avatar: The Last Airbender as Favorite Animated Show. Drake Bell (Drake & Josh) collected his third consecutive Blimp as Favorite TV Actor, and last year's Favorite TV Actress, Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), nabbed a pair for Favorite TV Actress and Favorite Female Singer. Tony Hawk and Danica Patrick scored for Favorite Male Athlete and Favorite Female Athlete. In music, Chris Brown seized Favorite Male Singer, and The Jonas Brothers triumphed as a group; Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend won for Favorite Song. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling notched Favorite Book honors.

Setting the stage for the revelry and mess, cameras captured host Jack Black backstage as he stunned his onetime School of Rock co-star, Miranda Cosgrove (Nickelodeon's iCarly), with his spiritual and physical quest – part maharishi and part The Six Million Dollar Man – to "become one with the slime" and the best Kids' Choice host in history. Then, caped and clad in slime green, he bounded onstage and pumped up the volume with I Was Made for Sliming You, musically paving the way for pop sensations Miley Cyrus and Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band. Superstar Cyrus excited the kid crowd with a lavish production number of Girl's Night Out from her concert tour/movie, and The Naked Brothers Band rocked with I Don't Wanna Go to School while skateboarders, BMX bikers and in-line skaters leaped and played with eye-popping moves.

Laila Ali provided colorful commentary for not one but three interactive spectacular slime stunts. Swinging on a crane for Celebrity Slime Darts, Heidi Klum came through with flying colors as she popped scores of slime-filled balloons on a giant wall. Voting at, kids picked her popping mode: a giant butt pad covered in spikes. For Scuba Sumo Slimo, scuba diver stepped aside for sumo wrestler, after kids selected him at, and Usher blasted a high-pressure hose at the human slime target: The stunt man slid, flew and rolled through a shuffleboard point set-up to determine "slimage" for the giant tank onstage. And in Slime-o-lition Derby, Akon hopped into the bumper car shaped like a giant Jack Black bobble-head doll and zigzagged through an obstacle course, thwacking slime filled targets and topping the slime-o-meter. Kids picked the vehicle on that gave more bang for the buck and more slime for the tank.

Filled to the brim, the giant slime tank was poised, goo-d and ready to spill as veteran slime recipient Jack Black and Orlando Bloom levitated upward in their slime seats to make Nick history. "It's the whole reason I became an actor – to take part of the biggest celebrity sliming in Kids' Choice history," said Bloom. Their climactic superstar sliming was the longest in show history, and Bloom joined an elite fraternity of stars who reveled in the slime experience including Vince Vaughn, Robin Williams, Johnny Depp, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, James Earl Jones, Rosie O'Donnell, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller.

In a show highlight, The Wannabe Award, an annual honor bestowed on a celebrity role model who kids most "want to be," was presented to Cameron Diaz – former Kids' Choice Awards host (2004)/Burp Award winner (2001) – by Ashton Kutcher. The presentation was green-themed in keeping with Diaz's laudable conservation/environmental efforts, and in accepting, she exclaimed, "This is the biggest honor of my entire life! Kids are the future... and I'm honored to inspire you to change this world." She prompted the crowd to shout, "We are the future and the future is bright!" and urged them to "Go out and make this a better world."

Burping was music to kids' ears this year, as celebrities who visited the orange carpet Burp Zone punctuated the song Y.M.C.A. with burps, and all of the belchers appeared in a resounding montage that showcased their efforts – and took burping to a new level. Past proud best belchers include Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba and Steve Irwin (shared honor), Justin Timberlake (two-time winner) and Hugh Jackman.

In addition, the star-studded telecast featured celebrity participants including Will Smith, Steve Carell, Shia LaBeouf, Harrison Ford, Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, James Marsden, Heidi Klum, Drake Bell, Hayden Panettiere, Ashlee Simpson, Miranda Cosgrove, America Ferrera, Abigail Breslin, Brendan Fraser, Amy Poehler, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Howie Mandel, Josh Peck, Ryan Seacrest, Devon Werkheiser, Ryan Sheckler, Pete Wentz, Rihanna and many others.

The day's special programming began early on Nickelodeon with iLove the KCAs, interstitials (9-11 a.m. ET/PT). starring the cast of TEENick hit iCarly – Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor – in-character: Carly, Sam, Freddie and Spencer hosted a special edition of their web show from the Orange Carpet. Later, following a SpongeBob SquarePants marathon (5-8 p.m.), Nick's J. Boogie, Lily Collins and Pickboy hosted a unique star-studded two-hour pre-show telecast, Countdown to the Kids' Choice Awards – interlacing programming from 6 to 8 p.m. ET/PT – featuring a musical performance by Lil Mama. Sean Kingston's POV on-carpet camera added a new dimension to the arrivals/interviews. The hip new Dance on Sunset series kicked off on the heels of Kids Choice, premiering at 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT)

Nickelodeon's 2008 Kids Choice Awards encores in its entirety on Nick Saturday at 10 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. A 30-minute program of highlights, Kids' Choice Awards: Best of the Mess airs Tuesday, April 1 at 8:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 3 at 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. In addition, the N will replay the full show on Sunday, March 30 at 9 a.m. and encore KCA: Best of the Mess on Saturday, April 5 at 4 p.m. The full show will encore on Nicktoons, Sunday, March 30 at midnight (all times ET/PT). LOS ANGELES, Calif. – February 7, 2008 – Slime recipient/movie star/funnyman Jack Black (DreamWorks' upcoming animated feature Kung Fu Panda) will host Nickelodeon's 21st Annual Kids' Choice Awards, Saturday, March 29 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT) — "where Hollywood meets the slime" — live from UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Black, who helmed in 2006 and was doused then with the green goo, reclaims the reins at the 2008 "mini-Oscars" event where kids honor their favorites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television in a star-studded live telecast (tape delayed for West Coast).

"We couldn't be happier that Jack is back to host Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice, and we're looking forward to seeing what he'll do for an encore on the show," said Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming, Nickelodeon and an Executive Producer of the telecast. "Kids adore Jack, and his energy and unpredictability are a perfect fit for KCA. Last year's 20th milestone show broke records, but with Jack's energy and unpredictability we're expecting more surprises and more slime than ever before."

Jazzed about the return hosting gig, Black said, "I had a ball hosting The Kids Choice Awards, and I'm gearing up big-time to 'take charge' of the chaos and mess again this year. After all, I'm a second-time dad-to-be. I have a lot of secret plans, and I hope to give as good as I get when it comes to good, clean, slimy-green fun."

The ogre's odds to triumph grew tallest this year, as Shrek the Third nabbed four nominations: one for Favorite Animated Movie and three for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (Mike Meyers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona and Eddie Murphy as Donkey). Host Black starred on the big screen as a Friar-turned-wrestler in the smash hit Nacho Libre and as showman Carl Denham, who captures the giant ape, in King Kong. He starred most recently in the critically acclaimed Margot at the Wedding and last year in Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. After earning a cult following for his comic rock-folk band Tenacious D, the actor first gained big-screen attention and won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award in High Fidelity as John Cusack's sarcastic music store clerk. He went on to prove his box-office draw in School of Rock and to win a Golden Globe Award nomination for his portrayal of a failed rock musician turned substitute teacher in an uptight private school. Black made his mark, too, starring in the title role opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Shallow Hal and in films including The Holiday, Envy, Orange County, Saving Silverman and Bob Roberts. He was the voice of Lenny in the animated hit feature Shark Tale and will voice Po in the upcoming Kung Fu Panda. Next up, he is literally magnetic in the comedy Please Be Kind, Rewind as his character sets out to remake every film he inadvertently erases in a video store.
