Nickelodeon UK Staff Members Complete The Toy Trust's Three Peaks Challenge In Aid Of MEDICMALAWI

Nickelodeon UK's Press Office has Tweeted (posted) on their official Twitter profile page (@NickelodeonUKPR) that Nickelodeon UK's 'Three Peaks Challenge' team (including the Nickelodeon UK staff members Jess Brown, Jason Easy, Jeremy Poreca, Lucy Freeth, Louise Dowling, Katie Ball, and Mark Kingston) have completed the 'Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge' which they undertook in an effort to raise money for MEDICMALAWI, which is a small charity which is run by a group of volunteers and professionals 100km north of the Malawi capital Lilongwe who run a children's hospital and an orphanage for 50 children as well as a village school on a tiny budget of less than £110,000 a year!
After an emotional, amazing and rainy journey! We completed the 3 Peaks Challenge! Thanks to every1 for the support we made it happen! - 4.27am Monday 16th July 2012.
As part of 'Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge', Nickelodeon UK's 'Three Peaks Challenge' team climbed Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, then Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, and finally, Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland. Their aim was to complete the challenge in less than 24 hours (11 hours driving, 13 hours hill-climbing).

Nickelodeon Consumer Products have agreed to raise at £7000 in total to build, equip, staff and run a new-build orphanage for 40 very young and vulnerable children whose parents have died of either HIV or malaria. Money goes a long way in Malawi so not only will this directly help some of the poorest children in the world but it will also provide jobs for builders and other local crafts-people.

This is an great project that deserves a lot of support. Nickelodeon wants to raise as much money as possible for them. And it isn't too late to donate. Please donate as much as you can and remember every little helps and no donation is too small! You can donate to Nickelodeon's Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge team by donating money on Nickelodeon UK's official fundraising page here on the official Virgin Money Giving website. You can also find out more about the MEDICMALAWI charity here on the official MEDICMALAWI website, www.medicmalawi.org.

All of MEDICMALAWI's fundraising is carried out by a small un-paid UK team so they can keep administration costs to a minimum and make sure that the money they raise goes directly to helping the people in Malawi.

NickALive! would like to say a big well done and congratulations to everyone who undertook the Toy Trust Three Peaks Challenge!
