"Nick News With Linda Ellerbee" Celebrates Ordinary Kids Doing Extraordinary Acts In "Everyday Heroes", Premiering Monday 15th July 2013 At 8.30pm (ET/PT) On Nickelodeon USA

Nickelodeon has announced in the following press release, from TVbytheNumbers, that Nickelodeon USA will premiere and show the latest brand new "Nick News with Linda Ellerbee" special episode, called "Everyday Heroes", on Monday 15th July 2013 at 8:30pm (ET/PT).

In the latest installment of Nickelodeon's popular news series, kids from around the United States of America share their stories of helping others. The half-hour special shines a light on young people who prove that everyone is capable of doing something extraordinary.

The special features a group of popular high school football players from Arizona who befriended a bullied classmate, a Florida girl who stood up to adults trying to stop her from starting a Gay-Straight Alliance at her middle school, Georgia high school kids who decided to have a racially-integrated prom despite community opposition, and a Virginia girl who was willing to go the extra mile to support a friend with cancer.

NEW YORK, July 10, 2013 – Kids from around the country share their stories of helping others in the brand-new Nick News with Linda Ellerbee special, “Everyday Heroes,” premiering Monday, July 15, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. The half-hour special shines a light on young people who prove that everyone is capable of doing something extraordinary.
