NPD Announces Nickelodeon's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Takes Number One Action Figure Brand Spot For June 2013

The Turtles Action Figures have consistently featured in the best selling category month on month.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has taken the number one Action Figure brand spot for June, according to NPD data.

Flair reports that since returning to screens in October 2012, Nickelodeon's popular brand has swept the UK, and attributes much of this success to the character figures - the number one best selling Action Figure time since the beginning of the year.

The Turtles Action Figures have consistently featured in the best selling category month on month, driving the brand into the top slot overall.

Mark Kingston, GM and SVP Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, Europe Middle East, Africa and Australia, said: "For Turtles to reach the number one spot in such a competitive category is a testament to the strength of the property and the translation of the innovative animation into engaging action figures.
