Nickelodeon UK Renames Nick Jr. 2; Unveils New Look For NickToons UK

As speculated, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland yesterday, Monday 3rd November 2014, renamed "Nick Jr. 2" to "Nick Jr. Too"!


As part of Nickelodeon UK's popular preschool channels' name change, Nick UK has rebranded the channels on-air presentation to feature the logo of the channels new name, "Nick Jr. Too":



Where every day's an adventure, Nick Jr. is a top-performing commercial pre-school entertainment brand in cable and satellite homes. Launched in 1999 as the world's first channel dedicated to pre-school children, Nick Jr.'s programming includes beloved shows "Dora the Explorer", "Peppa Pig", "Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom" and "Paw Patrol", plus great new shows including "Zack and Quack", "Dora and Friends: Into the City!", "Lily's Driftwood Bay" and "Wallykazam!". Online, clips, games, show information, exclusive activities and downloads are all available at nickjr.co.uk Viewers also have the opportunity to catch up with the schedule through Nick Jr. +1. Nick Jr. is available on Sky 615, Virgin 715, through BT Vision and TalkTalk channel 318.

Additionally, Nickelodeon UK has also given their animation and action channel, Nicktoons UK and Ireland, a brand-new fresh and bright on-air rebrand, spearheaded by NickToons UK's brand new show, "Breadwinners", and channel favourite "SpongeBob SquarePants"!

Nicktoons brand-new look includes a refresh for the NickToons logo, brand-new channel bumpers and idents specifically created and design for NickToons, a new digital on-screen graphic (DOG)/BUG, new voiceovers, and new Lower Third graphics.

As part of NickToons' latest channel refresh, the "toons" part of Nicktoons' brand-new logo now features a yellow font colour.

NickToons brand-new channel bumpers and idents feature characters from popular NickToons shows, including "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Sanjay and Craig", and "Breadwinners". Each ident features a characters face, with their eyes making up the 'oo' part of the 'NickToons' logo. The background of each bumper also features the skin-tone of each characters face, with SpongeBob's bumper having a yellow background, Squidward's bumper having a green background, and Patrick's bumper having a pink background. NickToons 'Next' bumpers also feature video clips of the upcoming show in a old fashioned television style box on-screen. NickToons have also redesigned their Lower Third graphics, including their 'Later on NickToons' graphic, to match the channels' new look, with the face of a character from the show mentioned making up the 'oo' part of the NickToons logo.
