In the all-new ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks episode "Independence Day", when the boys get tired of taking orders from Dave, they move out and build a tree house in the backyard! Later, in "Opposites Attract", Alvin and Simon become magnetized and inseparable after an invention of Simon's accidentally gets knocked over!
